Here, you can listen to four pieces of the CD "It's not worse" ("C'est pas pire") and seventeen tunes from "Ca pas d'allure".

Hommage à Dupont, first piece of the CD "C'est pas pire"

Hommage à Dupont (B. Kowalczyk)

Train Mid (B. Kowalczyk)

Ste Béatrix (B. Kowalczyk)

Valse d'Orsa (Trad. Suède)

These four "tounes", as they say in Quebec, are very different from each other in their

inspiration , the harmonica play and the instruments used.

"Hommage à Dupont" is played on a chromatic in G and is mostly inspired of Ireland. It's title is a hint at  "Hommage à Durand", sung and composed by Norman Miron, a musician living in the charming town  Sainte Béatrix, in the north of Montreal.

The "Train Mid" seconde mixes two musics I appreciate, Quebec music and blues (I don't play the last one). For those who aren't spécialists, what's typical in Quebec music is the feet kicking. For the rest, shadow of Sonny Terry isn't so far... The vocals are just between, between Sonny's falsetto and the traditional Quebec "turlutte"...

"Ste Béatrix" is played on a 10-hole Tombo in Am (I fixed the blades a bit). The piece sounds like nothing in particular... but I like it !

The "Valse d'orsa" is played on three harmonicas (see details on the "Discography" page).
